F.A.Q.’s about VelaSmooth Cellulite Reduction Treatment:
- What areas can be treated with VelaSmooth?
- Who is a Candidate for VelaSmooth?
- How does VelaSmooth Work?
- Is there pain involved during treatment?
- What results can be expected?
- How many treatments are needed?
- Is there any downtime or post treatment affects?
- Can VelaSmooth be combined with other treatments?
Answers:
- The most commonly treated areas are the stomach, abdomen, love handles, upper arms, hips, thighs, and buttocks. VelaSmooth is also effective on the jowls and neck area.
- VelaSmooth works on all skin types. So anyone who wants to improve the appearance of cellulite is a candidate. Because there is deep tissue heating, clients who have any superficial metal or conductive implants, rods, plates, or pins in the treatment area should not undergo VelaSmooth treatments. Treatments may not be performed on pregnant women, and on the abdomen of patients who have a hernia.
- VelaSmooth is intended to heat the adipose tissue containing cellulite. The hypothermic effect on these fat cells increases the metabolism of stored energy, thereby reducing or shrinking the size of the fat chamber. That shrinkage of the fat chamber reduces the bumpiness of the skin. The mechanical action of the rollers gently kneads the skin and facilitates deeper penetration. This may also stretch the connective tissue giving the skin surface a smoother appearance. The suction applied dilates blood vessels and improves local circulation to the skin.
- VelaSmooth is described as a warm deep massaging sensation. The mechanical rollers and suction “pull up” the skin so there is a gentle stretching of the skins surface.
- Clinical studies have consistently demonstrated up to a 40 - 80% reduction in the appearance of cellulite with the added benefit of lost inches and skin tightening.
- Multiple treatments per body part are necessary; therefore treatments are sold in packages. The proven treatment protocol is 16 treatments over an 8 week period. Treatments are performed twice a week. Subsequent maintenance treatments might be required, the average is once a month.
- There is no downtime post treatment. Clients can resume normal activity immediately. The treatment area may appear flushed or pink from the heat for a short while, and may feel warm for several hours after treatment. Bruising although uncommon may be possible if you take aspirin products or are on blood thinners. Bruises are temporary and resolve in 1-2 weeks.
- VelaSmooth may be combined with other topical therapies to potentially increase results. Healthy eating habits, adequate water intake, regular exercise and healthy lifestyle choices are recommended for maximum results.
